Bernard Douglas Yancey

Shreveport, La - A celebration of life will be held for Bernard Douglas Yancey, 67, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Bethel Assembly of God, Reverend Ray Holman will be officiating. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath's Cemetery in Bossier City, La. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until the service at the church. Bernard was born on August 20, 1948 in Hazard, KY to Bernard and Bessie Yancey. He passed away on November 6, 2015 in Shreveport, La. He loved to fish and be with his family. He was proceeded in death by his father, Bernard Yancey. He is survived by his mother, Bessie Yancey, loving wife of 46 years, Katie Yancey, sons, Bernard Douglas Yancey II and his wife, Heather, and Darryl Edward Yancey, and his wife, Nicole, daughter, Luci Yancey Rabe and husband, Philip, grandchildren, Jasmine Hearron, Curtis Hearron, Zoe Hearron, Kaitlyn Yancey, Braeden Yancey, and Abigail Rabe, siblings, Karen Griffith, and Jim Yancey.
