Bernice Freeman Williams

Funeral services honoring the life of Bernice Williams, 92, will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Reverend Beth Sentell officiating. Burial will follow at Rockdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2 pm until service time. Bernice was born on June 12, 1925 to James and Eula Ross and entered into rest on January 26, 2018. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her two children, Silas Jefferson "Jeff" Freeman; her second husband, G.R. Williams; her parents; her sisters, Evelyn Ross, Katherine Derrick, Alma Edwards, Mable Ross; and her brothers, E.C. Ross, Cecil "Doc" Ross, William "Bill" Ross. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Beth Freeman Roblow and husband Kenneth of Shreveport, LA and Rebecca Stephens and husband Hugh of Georgia; her sisters, Gladys Boice of Shreveport, LA, Dean Corley of Many, LA, Charlsie Wright of Baton Rouge, LA; her brother, Allen "Tink" Ross of Many, LA; her grandchildren, Christy Roblow Dickmeyer of Shreveport, LA, Jeffery Roblow and girlfriend Jodie Gutkowski of Oklahoma City, OK, and Casey M. Stephens and wife Keri of Georgia; her great grandchildren, Matthew Simmons of Shreveport, LA, Skyler Johnson and husband Joseph of Keithville, LA, and Harper G Stephens of Georgia; her great great grandchildren, Amberly and Noah Simmons, Jason, Leo, and Kol Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Honoring the life of Bernice as pallbearers will be Jeffery Roblow, Matthew Simmons, Mike Melton, Mikey Smith, Greg Ross and Jimmy Stephens. On behalf of the family we wish to express our deepest love and appreciation to Southern Care Hospice Services and the staff of Montclaire Memory Care, especially, Kim, Nikkie, Kiesha, Wendy, Francine, Shontae, Mary H., Sally, Raven, LaFreida, Willie Mae, Teresa, Barbara, Lauvata, Ginger, Katrina, Mary E., Mary B., and Patrina, for their love, care and support for our mother throughout this journey. Your kindness has been a great source of strength for us. May God continue to richly bless each of you.
