Our mother (Nanny) went to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by family on January 21, 2016, at the age of 85. Dolly loved being with her family, her church family, and listening to Christian music. It blessed her heart to listen to her children and grandchildren sing and play. She also loved painting with her friends at Ferry Lake Baptist Church. Dolly had a great sense of humor, encouraged others, and gave from her heart. She will forever be remembered by her four children and caring in-laws, Charlotte and James Clifton, Leslie and Larry Allen, Chip and Clella Dickey, Tony Dickey, a sister Midge Strange and two sisters-in-law, Claudia Clay and Elsie Dickey. She had 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Dolly Dickey was born October 10, 1930. Dolly was a longtime resident of Oil City where she lived with her husband John Charles Dickey, SR. for 49 yrs. She was preceded in death by her husband and 8 brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff at North Caddo Medical Center, Vivian Healthcare and Medistar Home Health who lovingly cared for our mother. Donations could be sent to Ferry Lake Baptist Church building fund. We serve an awesome GOD! We look forward to seeing her again!
