Bertie Jo Harwell

Bertie Jo Daniel Harwell went to be with the Lord August 24, 2015. Visitation is Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services starting at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Pastor Robert Hogan will be officiating.   Born, October 26, 1926 in Shreveport, LA. Bertie was a longtime active member of Willowpoint Baptist Church. She taught Special Needs Jr. High children, and was active in TOPS and Senior Citizen groups.   Preceded in death by her parents Ruby Jo and James M. Daniel, and son Bill Harwell. Survived by children Pat and Susan Harwell, Sylvia Susan and Jerry Sanders, and Paul Harwell; by 5 grandchildren, Stacy Sanders Grant, Christy Sanders Foster, Katie Harwell Lawrence, Angela Hernandez, and Allison Cate, and 15 great-grandchildren.   Pallbearers will be Corey Grant, Rev. Wes Foster, Scott Lawrence, Greg Cooley, Paul Ibling and Murwyn Stover.
