Bessie Andrews

On this day we have gathered to lay to rest, a great lady and pillar of the community, Mrs. Bessie Andrews; however, we called her Aunt Bessie. Originally, a native of Many, Louisiana, she was a devoted member of the Greater St. Paul Baptist Church where she served as an usher/mentor for many years. Working with Dr. Kemmerly and staff, Mrs. Andrews worked tirelessly and offered 24 years of dedicated service before retiring from The Women’s Clinic in Minden, impacting the lives of countless patients both directly and indirectly.

Mrs. Andrews is survived by a host of nephews and nieces spread from Georgia to Alaska, andother places include Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, Washington, and Oregon. Preceding her in death was her parents Willie Midkiff (Dad), Audrey Clay (Mother), Ruth Midkiff (Sister), Curtis Midkiff (Brother), Willie Jean Joyce (sister), and James Andrews (Husband).

The viewing ceremony will be 22nd November 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at the Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana. On 23rd November 2024, the funeral will be held at the same church for Mrs. Andrews and will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Scott officiating. Immediately followed by the interment of Mrs. Andrews at Sheppard Heights Cemetery in Minden, which will be under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
