Bette Cahn Fowler
SHREVEPORT, LA - Bette Cahn Fowler died Friday, March 18, 2016 at the age of 92. Bette was a Shreveport native graduating from CE Byrd High and attending LA Tech.
Bette is predeceased by her loving husband, Beryl Fowler, parents Marion and Odette Cahn, brother, Marion Cahn, Jr., nephew, Howard C. Belcher, III and brother-in-law, Howard C. Belcher, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Suzie Fowler and husband, Bobby Matthews, Janet Fowler; grandchildren, Robert Matthews and Kyle Matthews; sister - in - law, Ruth Belcher, niece, Christina Belcher and nephew, Paul Belcher.
Bette had a wonderfully full life playing bridge with the Tuesday Tulips and her Monday group, her monthly Booray game, and she loved her Friday Domino group. Bette also volunteered at Noel Methodist and other organizations. But her favorite work was done at Grace Home. She was also a second mother to many who loved her.
Bette\'s family would like to thank her precious caregivers, Gwen Nash, Chantelnell Nash, Audrey Rubin and Sandra Thomas, you not only lovingly helped our mother get through this time, but you were also there for us.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Noel Memorial United Methodist Church Chapel, 520 Herndon, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. at the church until service time.
