Bettie Jean Hock

Bettie Jean Hock has ended her wonderful life journey on God’s beautiful earth on October 16, 2024. Her new life with no pain or suffering has begun with God in heaven. This brings her magnificent peace which she has desired for so long.

Loved by everyone, Miss Bettie as she was known, never knew strangers and so loved even more in return. It will never be known how much she helped others and never wanted anything in return, except peace.

Her glowing smile, sincere appreciation, and genuine words will be missed beyond measure. Written words will never be able to convey what this truly southern lady was in this life. She was exceptionally blessed by God in all she did, even to the end here as He called her home.

Miss Bettie leaves one special project to be completed, which is the deepest love of her life, her husband Bruce. She has received full comfort from God as he told her that Bruce would be cared for and comforted always.

Grateful to have had her in their lives are daughter Debbie Cottle (Dennis), son Bill Weeks (Shannon), daughter Lisa Giles, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Also faithful friend to the gracious end Sandra Moorehead and special friend Sherry Sparks.

You will be missed, Miss Bettie.

Services celebrating the life of Miss Bettie will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Minden in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Leland Crawford officiating with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodland Haven Family Cemetery, 1383 Hwy 531, Minden, Louisiana 71055.
