GREENWOOD, LA - Funeral services for Betty Jo Bullock, 83, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park East, St. Vincent Ave. Rev. Willis Dear and Rev. Mark Bray will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
Betty was born on February 11, 1932 in Minden, LA to Joseph L. Laurich, Jr. and Dessie Laurich and passed away on January 21, 2016. Betty was a 1950 graduate of C.E. Byrd High School. She was a life time member and past president of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary Lodge #122, the Magnolia Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Honorary Life Member of National P.T.A., Honorary Life Member of Louisiana P.T.A., past President of District P.T. A., worked in the P.T.A. for 18 years, and served on Caddo Parish School Board for 6 years. Betty was a member of Summer Grove United Methodist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Laurich. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 65 years, Powell Bullock; sister, Louise Laurich; son, Mickey Bullock and wife, Alicia; daughter Debbie Wilson and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Stefanie Lincoln and husband, Dustin, and Michael Luke Bullock; great-granddaughter, Haley Jo Lincoln, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Richard Jones, Dustin Lincoln, Luke Bullock, Sam Echols, Jimmy Lyles, and Nick Hodge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Kirsop, Steve Bogart, and Jimmy Patterson.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the ICU Nurses at Willis Knighton Pierremont, especially Trish, for all the care, love and support they gave to Betty.
