Logansport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Betty Lou Franklin, age 87 will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Logansport. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Charles Hall. Interment will follow in the Blount Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, Nov. 2nd beginning at 10:00 am.
Mrs. Franklin was born on September 14, 1928 in Grand Cane, LA to Sammy and Dessie Raley and passed away on November 29, 2015 at Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Franklin is preceded in death by her husband: Ben Franklin and is survived by her sons, Larry Dale Franklin and wife, Pam of Timpson, TX and Terry Joe Franklin and wife, Janie of Washington State. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Ashton, Tristan, Lizzie and Bridgette and seven great grandchildren, Auston, Mattison, Landon, Tristin, Trever, Cansas and Caine.
Honoring Mrs. Franklin, as pallbearers will be Jack Canton, Ashton Franklin, Randy Bounds, Alan Bounds and George Grace. Honorary will pallbearer will be Bubba Blount.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Christus Schumpert Highland 3rd floor, ICU, Dr. Alan Bourne and special thanks to Sandy Martin, caregiver.
