BETTY JEAN HARDY   SHREVEPORT, LA - On Friday, November 25, 2016, God called Betty Jean Hardy, 88, home to Heaven. Funeral services celebrating Betty's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, La. Bro. C.L. Bourn will be officiating. The family will have visitation on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 6:00- 8:00 p.m at Rose- Neath Funeral Home. Betty was born January 1, 1928 in Greenwood, LA to Allison and Louise Turk Lafitte. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willis Fredrick Hardy; son, Wayne Hardy and daughter, Tammy Funderburk. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, William Hardy and Jeffery Hardy and wife Debbie; daughters, Billie Patero, Becky Townsend and husband Paul, Melinda Hardy and Christina Johnson; 30 grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren; sister, Omelia Oppenheimer.
