Betty Jane Bryant Danforth Ward

Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Betty Jane Bryant Danforth Ward, age 94, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 East 5th Street, Homer, LA, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Tim Rose, officiating. Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 5-7 p.m.

 Mrs. Betty was born April 16, 1930, in Cleveland, OH, to Alex and Ida Mae Blair Bryant. She was at home surrounded by her loving family when she stepped into eternity into the presence of her Lord on March, 1, 2025, in Homer, LA. Mrs. Betty was a faithful servant of God from the time she could talk. She loved Jesus and she loved people. Mrs. Betty spent many days visiting nursing homes and telling all she came in contact with about Jesus. Her favorite conversations were about the Lord. She served alongside her husband, who was a pastor and was a faithful Sunday School Teacher as well. She loved her Savior and is now where she always longed to be. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and the father of her children, Rev. Erwin Chiles Danforth; second husband, Llewelyn Ward; four children, Janet Marie, Brenda Joyce, Betty Jane Miller and David Erwin Danforth.

 She is survived by four children, Sandra Harris and husband Glen, Rebecca Strong, Joe Danforth and wife Margie, and Beverly Bridwell; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 Mrs. Betty’s family would like to express their gratitude to Bristol Hospice, along with Beverly Bridwell and Joe Danforth for the care and compassion shown during her last months.

 Pallbearers will be Gregory Strickland, Joseph Danforth, Kevin Sears, Adam Jordan, Kenneth Bridwell, JR, William Bridwell, Samuel Bridwell, and Timothy Bridwell.
