Betty Jean Stilson Tackett, 68, of Stonewall, Louisiana passed from this life on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Willis-Knighton South Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr. in Shreveport. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Dr. Howard Hall of Shreveport Baptist Temple. Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Allen Tackett; and her parents, Jim Burke and Joyce Stilson Burke Wingo; infant son, Richard Lee Stilson; daughter, Mary Alice Tackett; and sister, Regina Plevinski. She was born April 10, 1953 in Flint, Michigan. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kathy (Sherry) McCoy and Tammy (Ronnie) Gillum; sons, Allen (Crystal) Tackett, Jr. and Charles (Kimberley) Tackett; grandchildren, Brittany (Marc) Graham, Whitley (Brandon) Plunkett, Kami Gillum, Ashley Gillum, Allen Tackett, III, William Chandler Tackett, Jacob Moreno, Nathan McCoy, Cassandra Herbers, Brittany (Scott) Roarke, Christy Hope, Tiffany Hope and Dylan Hope; great-grandchildren, Katie Graham, Jaylin Graham, Hayden Graham, Alaina Plunkett, Brandon Plunkett, Jr. Ja'Nyla Lewis, Jaxon Pipkins, Sunny Stoner, Aliza Rose Tackett, Greyson Roarke, Blake Outzs, Olivia Outzs and three on the way; brothers, Charles Burke, Randy Plevinski, Jerry Wingo; sisters, Debbie (Larry) Quakkelaar, Terry (Harold) Lake, Carla Wingo, Theresa (Kevin) Huff, and Tracey Wingo; and numerous other family members and friends. Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Allen Tackett, Jr., Charles Edward Tackett, Ronnie Dean Gillum, Allen Tackett, III, William Chandler Tackett and Marcus Dwayne Graham. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jaylin Graham, Hayden Graham and Jacob Moreno.
