Betty S. Luker

Heaven gained an incredible angel on October 8, 2014. Betty Sizemore Luker, 70, was famous for her bowls of potato salad, egg salad, tuna salad, pimento cheese and hot water cornbread. Her children will miss the special cake and favorite meal that she loved to make on their birthdays. Many people benefited from her generous heart. She gladly stuffed envelopes for Insight for Inmates, delivered meals or provided rides for anyone who needed help. Betty loved her kids fiercely but from the moment she heard her grandson was on the way he was the joy of her life. She would do anything in her power to make her little man happy. We all will miss her infectious laughter and gorgeous smile, but we know she is already getting everything under control and in order for when we join her in Heaven.
Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Services will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, William Sizemore and Marie Nunley Sizemore, brother, Edwin Sizemore, sister, Gale Sizemore Smith, niece, Terrie Smith Fortner, nephew Shannon Anderson and numerous other loved ones and friends.
Left to cherish her memory is her precious grandson, William Ferner, three children Lisa Luker Ferner and husband David, Kenneth Darrell Luker and Cathy Joline Luker. One brother, Mike Sizemore, one brother-in-law Bobby Smith, and two sisters-in-law Muriel Luker and Mary Sizemore.
