Funeral services for Betty F. McCann will be held Monday, March 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Chet Johnson and Bro. Richard Methvin officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden.
Betty was born May 18, 1945, in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest March 1, 2023 in Minden, Louisiana. Betty was a faithful member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church. She loved flowers, garage sales, but most of all she adored her grandchildren and loved her granddog, Titus.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Sarah Holland; in-laws, Aline and Hoyle McCann; husband, Clyde McCann, Sr.; son, Clyde McCann, Jr.; sister, Sarah Ann Walker; brother-in-law, Henry Robin; and nephews, Curtis Robin and Arthur “Buck” Davis; brothers-in-law, Raymond McCann and Ed Davis; and by sister-in-law Mildred Davis.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Kirk McCann (Dorothy Smith Peters) and Tara McCann (Stephen Tingle); great-grandchildren, Savannah Carter and Landen Carter; sister, Jeanette Robin; sister-in-law, Edna McCann; brother-in-law, Edward Walker; aunt, Martha Stiles; special cousin, Ann Demaline; and by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Stiles, Austin Stiles, Gary McCann, Richard Mathews, Jerry McCann, Jason Shirey.
Honorary pallbearer will be Grover Russell, Jr.
