Jane Briery entered heaven\'s gates the morning of November 2, 2014. She fought the good fight, finished her race, and always kept the faith. She was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1964. "Nana" loved her family and friends with all of her heart and served faithfully in her church.
Visitation will be held November 5, 2014 5:00-8:00pm at Rose-Neath Southside and services will be held November 6, 2014 at 10:00am at Midway Church of Christ with interment following at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Officiating will be Jane's Pastor, Bro. Wayne Fussell.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elmer McClain; her mother, Lois McClain; her siblings, Joyce Linn and Dorothy McClain; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Ruth Briery. Jane is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, John Briery; son, Tim Briery and wife Jaclyn; daughter, Angie Giddens and Billy Stapleton; grandchildren, Hannah Giddens, Lauren Giddens and Cameron Briery; siblings, Herbert McClain, Willie Bloxom, "Wilma" Ruth McClain Mack, Sharon Carter and husband Jerry, Melba Colegrove, Dwight McClain and wife Sandy; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Cameron Briery, Chris Briery, Ted Bounds, Bubba Locke, John Sibley and Parker Ward.
Donations in memory of Jane Briery can be made to Midway Church of Christ.
