Betty was born May 20, 1952 in Minden, Louisiana and entered into rest January 2, 2015 in Minden, Louisiana. Betty Rose dedicated her life to serving others through her baking talents. Over the years she prepared hundreds of delicious dishes for every possible type of event. Her greatest accomplishment was the founding, implementing, and fulfilling of her dream to hold a Community Meal to feed the hungry free of charge on a monthly basis. She was very active in First United Methodist Church on various committees. Her second love was gardening and she was happiest "digging some dirt." She was an active member of the Master Gardeners. She will be greatly missed by her family and a host of friends. Her parents Walter F. (Red) Watts and Frances Watts and her beloved niece Beth Watts Bridges preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother Wally Watts and wife Marsha of Minden, nephew Craig Alan Watts and wife Suzy of Shreveport, great-niece Anna Lake Watts and great-nephew Alan Howell Watts. Pallbearers will be Billy Chanler, Dewey Richards, Barry Dobbins, Scott Spillers, Aarin Bridges, and Mike Webb.
