Waskom, TX- A celebration of life for Betty Itasca Jackson Whitfield, 88, will be held 12 noon Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Officiating will be Rev. William Stroud. Interment will follow service at Forest Park West Cemetery.
Betty was born on August 7, 1926 to Maury Wayne Jackson and Myrtle Hitt. She passed away December 5, 2014. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father, Maury W. Jackson, mother, Myrtle Hitt, step-father, Travis Hitt, and brother, M. C. Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Jack Louis Whitfield, sons, Travis A. Whitfield and wife, Cherie, and Jeff L. Whitfield and wife, Vicki, daughter, Kaylon Paradise and husband, Bud, grandchildren, Tonya Connery, Kaylon Dawn Dufault, Alicia Itasca Whitfield, Sam C. Paradise, Chelle Rush, Brandi Lynch, Ian Looper, Nick Looper, and 16 great grandchildren.
Honoring Mrs. Betty as pallbearers are Travis Whitfield, Rodney Lemay, Hunter Johnson, Ian Looper, Jeff Whitfield, and Nick Looper.
