A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Beverly Ann Graves Winslow, 69, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kenny Word Fox of Gospel Lighthouse Church.
Beverly was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 23, 1952 and entered the gates of Heaven on September 25, 2021. She was a resident of Bossier City. She was a Godly woman who could be found at Gospel Lighthouse Church every time the doors were open. After becoming licensed as a Registered Nurse, Beverly went on to work in different medical units such as med-surg, labor and delivery, hemodialysis and behavioral medicine. After retiring, Beverly would spend her time volunteering at the CARE Pregnancy Center where she would perform ultrasounds, counsel young mothers, and spread the Gospel. Throughout her lifetime, Beverly engaged in many hobbies. She loved to travel with her husband and family. Two of her favorite places were the beach and the mountains. Beverly was known for her artistic abilities and was always working on a new crocheting project. She frequently crocheted baby blankets and clothes for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always giving away crocheted baby blankets any time she met an expecting mother. Beverly often volunteered her time at Gospel Lighthouse Church where she would work with children's church and VBS. One of Beverly's favorite things to do was shop. Even though illness kept her home the last few months of her life, Beverly still found ways to shop using online formats. Beverly was a lover of animals. She would sit in her garden room and watch birds as she would drink her morning coffee. Famous for her delicious fudge, Beverly was an amazing cook and baker who loved feeding her friends and family. By her side throughout everything were her two spoiled pups, Leah and Lexi, and cockatiel, Princess.
Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Randall Shane Hayes; parents, L.O. and Magaline Graves; and husband, Donald Wallace Winslow, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Donald Winslow III, and his wife, Joyce, and Daniel Winslow; daughters, Lana Winslow and husband, Greg, and Amanda Nall and boyfriend, Chris; grandchildren, Andrew Winslow, Christian Darden, Nicole Stutz, Brittany Hayes, Raleigh Shelton II, Jason Nall, Isabella Nall, AnnaClaire Nall; and several great-grandchildren; and brother, Todd Graves.
The family would like to express special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and Companion Sitters, especially Laura Moore, for all your care and support the last few months. Mom loved her "spa days."
