Bill Foster Sadler was born to Bevie and Jeffie Sadler and raised in Troup, Texas. He had 5 siblings with which he shared in never-ending adventures and shenanigans during the Great Depression. These tough times instilled in Bill his stellar work ethic, teaching him that in order to be successful in life, you have to work hard.
As a young adult, Bill began raising and providing for his own family with then wife, Mary Jordan Sadler, moving across East Texas where he joined the Masonic Lodge in Tyler and established several small businesses. He eventually settled in Bossier City where he married Linda Ellis Sadler and founded Sadler’s Top Shop where he and his sons installed custom made vinyl tops and pin striping for cars for area dealerships as well as individuals for 15 years. When Bill had saturated the vinyl top market, he went on to create and operate Sadler Productions, being the first professional video production company in the nation to produce on-site industrial videos nationwide for the past 40 years. With Bill’s perseverance and resilience, overcoming many obstacles through the years, he became well known and respected in the industry as the successful business owner he had dreamed of as a child.
Bill was well known for his love of communication and technology. Unfortunately, during his later years Bill gradually lost his hearing and ability to speak. Again, being resilient, Bill found ways to communicate with his family through technology. We take comfort in knowing that on April 24, 2025, Bill’s ability to speak and hear was fully restored as his body was completely healed and made perfect again.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Linda Ellis Sadler, two siblings and leaves behind numerous children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 3 siblings.
The family would like to thank the staff of Riverview Care Center and LifePath Hospice for their kind and compassionate care during this time.
