Billie Jones Avery

Billie Jones Avery, wife, mother, and grandmother went home to her Lord and Savior December 3, 2023, at the age of 89.

Billie was born and raised in Minden, LA and raised her family in McIntyre community for 70 plus years. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Kate Jones, husband, Don Avery, son, Mike Avery, and granddaughter, Edna Avery.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne Avery and wife Evelyn and Danny K. Avery and wife Mary; daughter, Athyl Cox and husband Doug. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and 5 great great-grandchildren as well as numerous special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be December 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and services following at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Brian Walker, Van Cox, Cody Avery, Cristian Avery, Chad Avery, Chris McGowan and Michael McGowan.
