Billie Edgar Barnes

A graveside service honoring the life of Billie Edgar Barnes, 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Forest Park Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Dr. Scott Teutsch of Trinity Heights Baptist Church.

Billie Edgar Barnes was born July 21, 1930 in Shreveport, Louisiana to William and Bessie Barnes and passed away, Friday, September 23, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Billie was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a locomotive engineer for Kansas City Southern Railroad for 42 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Norma Tibbit Barnes; son, Billy Reece Barnes and wife, Debbie; daughter, Elizabeth Kay Schuler and husband, Paul; brother, W.W. “Tot” Barnes and wife, Ann; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one great- great grandson; and two nephews, Mike and Wayne Barnes.
