Billie Jo Alton

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Jo Alton will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022,  at 1:00 p.m. at Six Mile Pentecostal Church in Pitkin, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Hill Mathis Cemetery in Pitkin. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Billie was born March 18, 1942, in Fullerton, Louisiana and passed away August 31, 2022, in Longview, Texas at the age of 80. Billie loved going to church, she had a passion for gospel music, a talent for hospitality, and loved and cherished her family very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Devore and Evie McCallon Devore and her sister, Marie Devore.

Billie is survived by her husband, John Alton; children, Leland Doyle, Jr. and wife Doris, Connie Ryan and husband Gery, Sue Pinell and husband Stephen; stepchildren, Shane Alton and wife Bonnie, Mike Alton and wife Pam, and Denise Cobb and husband Glen; sister, Wilma Dea Sweat; grandchildren, Chelsea Fennell, Blake Pinell, Dustin Ryan, Shauna Peterson, Nathan Ryan, Morgan Hicks, Beth Alton, Kelsey Cobb, Hannah Browning, Jacob Alton, Elizabeth Senn and Joshua Alton along with many great grandchildren and other loving family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill and Brenda Hicks and John Lewis.
