Funeral services for Billie Jean Rawls McGraw, 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. John Harp officiating. Interment will follow at Holley Springs Cemetery near Martin, LA. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the funeral home.
OUR MOMMA WENT HOME on January 8, 2018 in Longview, TX. Billie Jean was born January 6, 1929 in Coushatta, LA. She was a loving wife and mother and the heart of our family. She made our home a happy home. For our momma and daddy, family was everything. They tirelessly and unselfishly attended all their children and grandchildren's functions and encouraged everyone to enjoy life and to be the best they could be.
The greatest example of love, Billie Jean was encouraging, selfless, and happiest when serving her family. She was an amazing life giver and generous without measure. She willingly brought everyone into her circle of love. She was loved and adored by her family.
Welcoming her into Heaven are the love of her life, Junior (R.W.); her parents, Homer and Chloe Rawls; her sisters, Sue Wilson and Nina Franklin; her brother, Ashley Rawls; her great-granddaughter, Savannah; and numerous other family members. Also welcoming her are her pets, Poo and Summer. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon Novak, Dianne Austin and husband, Lynn, Ronnie McGraw and wife, Alice, Kerry McGraw and wife, Danah, Ricky McGraw and wife, Frankie; grandchildren, Shawn Chastka, Aimee Flanagan, Nicholas Novak, Troy Austin, Chad Austin, Brent McGraw, Larry McGraw, Evelyn Hanson, Eddie McGraw, and Candice Kotter; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brent McGraw, Troy Austin, Chad Austin, Nicholas McGraw Novak, Eddie McGraw, Tanner Harris, and Cody Owen.
