Billie Madge Pesnell

A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Billie Madge Pesnell on Wednesday, December 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Alabama Baptist Church. Bro. Paul Watts will officiate.

Mrs. Billie Madge Pesnell passed away on November 27, 2022, at North Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston, LA after having a stroke. Billie was born May 27, 1934, to Josh and Beulah Davidson Woodard, in Simsboro, Louisiana. She graduated from Simsboro High School in 1953, and made her life with her husband Leon and children in Simsboro. Billie also lived in Washington state, and Mt. View, Arkansas over the years. She was a member of Alabama Baptist Church. She was a great cook and seamstress, but loved to be in the garden tending to her flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Billie is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Pesnell, parents Josh and Beulah Woodard, sister Love Joy Woodard Williams, and brother Wilfred Woodard.

She is survived by her children Ferrell Pesnell and wife Ann, Greg Pesnell, Tim Pesnell, and Judy Pesnell, grandchildren Jessica, Joseph, and Michael Pesnell, by 5 great grandchildren, special niece Joyce Ann Williams Huntington and husband Cliff, nephew David Williams, and friends Tim Babcock and wife Ginger and Martha Johnson, and by numerous other nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at North Louisiana North Medical Center ICU, and the 3^rd floor staff of NLMC, for the wonderful care of Mrs. Billie.
