Graveside services celebrating the life of Billie Sims. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Grove Hill Cemetery, Mansfield, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk Street, Mansfield, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Billie was born September 10, 1947, in Mansfield, Louisiana to James Ernest Norwood, and Doris Pauline Daniels and entered rest on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Grand Cane, Louisiana.
Preceding her in death are her husband Clyde “Skipper” Sims, Jr; parents; and sister Dianne Boyt.
Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Billye Jo Winkler and James Burch, Donna Garrett and husband Charlie and Karen Evans and husband, Robert; sisters, Peggy Boyt, and husband Larry; brother Jimmy Norwood and wife Sissy; brother-in-law Jeff Boyt; grandchildren, Chrissy Lee and husband Cody, Cedric “Dylan” Sims and wife Nakiesha, Dakota Winkler, Robert “Tookie” Sims and Dajah, Emily Winkler, Tyra Sims, Lane Mitchell and fiancé Kelly, Dalton Garrett, Noriesha Smith and husband Dana, Kaniesha Evans, Damarcus Evans, Shelby Garrett, Morgan Gray and husband Kenneth and Dezi Garrett; and a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Honoring Billie as pallbearers will be Cody Lee, Dakota Winkler, Lane Mitchell, Cedric Sims, Dustin Boyt and Dalton Garrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Boyt, Jessie Daniels, Alan Moreno, Robert Evans, Charlie Garrett, Marion Sims, Danny Daniels, Robert “Tookie” Sims, Dustin Sims, Arron Sims, Ty “Tator” Sims, and James Clyde Sims.
The family would like to express and special thanks to Superior Hospice, Jennifer Moncrief, Dianne Mann, Terry Tisdale, and Dianne Walker.
