Celebration of life and going home service for Billy Joe Doyal, 85, will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Martin Baptist Church in Martin, LA at 10:00 AM with Reverend Richard Kaufman and brother-in-law, Ed Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Martin Cemetery in Martin, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, beginning at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Billy was born October 27, 1930, in Punkin Center, LA, to Willie Albert and Olive Francis Moseley Doyal and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 17, 2016, in Martin, LA. He was a retired bus driver and security guard. He also farmed for the majority of his life, raising a variety of livestock such as cattle, thoroughbred race horses, pigs and chickens. Billy loved his Savior and was a devout Christian and served as a deacon at Martin Baptist Church for many years. Papaw loved his grandchildren more than life itself, and was a loving husband and father. Billy was best known, and will always be remembered for his loving personality. He never met a stranger and always welcomed everyone with open, loving arms. He will be dearly missed by many.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Willie A. and Olive Francis Doyal; brothers, Sammy Ray Doyal and Raymond Doyal; and sisters, Willie Jean Doyal Leon and Shirley Doyal Belgard.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Chlora Lou Hunter Doyal; sons, Rusty Doyal and wife, Erlinda of Kingsland, GA, Rick Doyal and wife, Sharon of Mansfield, LA, Rodney Doyal of Bossier City, LA and Rory Doyal and wife, Irwina of Houston, TX; daughter, Jo Doyal Rambin and husband, Marvin of Martin, LA; sisters, Sandra Brewton and Edna Marie Waldon; brother, Bobby Doyal; grandchildren, Misty Jones, Jana Bounds, D. J. Gibson, Chance Doyal, Richard Doyal, Jill Craft, Hollie Adams, Colton Doyal, Kaitlyn Doyal, Kenny Clubine and Robert Clubine; sixteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Doyal, Richard Doyal, Colton Doyal, Chris Jones, Randall Bounds, Trey Craft, Zack Gibson and Mark Adams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Shriner's Children Hospital of Shreveport in memory of Billy Joe Doyal and in honor of Joshua Jones.
