Billy Flowers

Funeral services will be held for Billy Flowers, age 74, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Bro. Larry Hatcher, Bro. Floyd Pate and Bro. Stephen Beard will officiate. The interment will follow at New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday night. Mr. Flowers was born March 6, 1940, in Dubach, LA to Joseph and Rosie Flowers. He entered into rest on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at his home in Athens. Mr. Flowers was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings. He is survived by his wife Edna Flowers of Athens, LA, daughters Vicki Johnson & husband Randy of Arcadia, Ann Smith and husband Joe of Arcadia, Laura Ware and husband Shane of Haynesville, Denise Cobb and husband Glen of Arcadia, sons Mike Alton and wife Pam of Arcadia and Shane Alton and wife Bonnie of Athens, by grandchildren Christy Adams and husband TJ, Nick Johnson and fiancé Kaydee Hand, Rebekah Smith, Corbin Ware and wife Hayley, Kelsey Cobb, Hannah and Jacob Alton, Elizabeth Senn and Josh Alton, by great-grandchildren Garrett and Tyler Adams, Caston Ware, Rose Senn, Ellie Harlan and Michelle and Brody Hall. Pallbearers will be Nick Johnson, Corbin Ware, TJ Adams, Jacob Alton, Josh Alton and Joe Smith. Memorials may be made to New Bethel Baptist Church, PO Box 386, Arcadia, LA 71001.
