Billy W.A. Kennedy

SUMMERFIELD, LA:Funeral services were held for William Allen "Billy" Kennedy on February 11, 2015, at Hebron Baptist Church in Summerfield, LA at 10AM with Rusty Gilbert officiating. Interment followed at Hebron cemetery. Mr. William Allen "Billy" Kennedy was born January 29, 1940 to Clyde and Violet Kennedy in Smackover, Arkansas. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2015 after a lengthy illness. He was a beloved educator of over 33 years and greatly influenced many young minds in Claiborne Parish. Hunting, fishing, and checking on his cows were the past times that brought him his greatest pleasure. His family was his life. Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers - Dean and Jimmy, and sisters - May Belle, Ruth and Martha Ann. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Martha Ann, son Bill and wife Angela, daughters Gaye Brunson and husband Jerry, Pat Gaston and husband Denis, Kristie Belle, and Kaye Marie Geiger and husband Eric; seven grandchildren - Brock Brunson and wife Katie, Hayley Gaston, Bryce Brunson, Zach and Gracie Kennedy, and Eden and Evie Geiger; one great granddaughter, Kennedy Brunson and numerous relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Gerald Moring, Scott Martin, Jeff Haynes, John Robinson, Dickey Dardeau, Zach Kennedy, David Tyler and Tommy Whitman. Special thanks to his personal caregivers Patrick Hampton and Camille Wise.
