Billy Ted Walsworth, 81, of Shreveport, La, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015, after a brief illness.
He was born on February 6, 1934 in Jonesboro, La. After graduating from Jonesboro-Hodge High School, he attended Louisiana Tech. on a track scholarship.
He worked at J.B. Beard for over 40 years, where he was employed as a welder and retired as Vice President of Quality Control.
He loved spending time at his camp on Toledo Bend, hunting and fishing with family and friends. He also had a love of gardening.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Walsworth, daughters, Pam and husband, David Hamrick, Pat and husband, Joe Ferlito, and Paula and husband, Garry Brantly, grandchildren, Michael and wife, Liz Hamrick, Katie and husband, Chad Milliken, Anthony and wife, Gina Cross, Joanna and husband, Brandon King, Elizabeth and husband, Jared Fisher, Olivia and husband, Zach Alexander, Lauren and husband, Jonathan DePriest, Hunter Brantly and finance, Mallory Brown, and Collin Brantly, and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will have a celebration of life for Billy Ted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015.
