Shreveport, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Billy Ray Wiggins, age 85, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier Chapel. MSGR Carson LaCaze of St. John Berchmans Cathedral is officiating. Interment will follow at the Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 30th from 1:30 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Wiggins was born in Monroe, LA on March 14, 1930 to Fred L. and Lena M. Graham Wiggins and passed away on March 27, 2015 at his residence. He was a resident of Shreveport, LA and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wiggins was a standout athlete at Winnsboro High School, Hall of Fame player at LA Tech (a true legend). He was named a member of the All Century Team at LA Tech. Later to become a Hall of Fame Coach and won multiple Sate Championships.

Mr. Wiggins is preceded in death by his parents. Fred and Lena Graham Wiggins and sister, Betty Ruth. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Amelia Glorioso Wiggins; son, Fred M. Wiggins and wife, Donna; daughter, Sharan McGuire and husband, Tommy. Mr. Wiggins is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Cason, Matthew McGuire, Amelia Wiggins, Samuel Robison, Erin Robison, and great grandchildren, Kinlee McGuire, Contessa Cason, Kaden McGuire, Emma Robison, Mitchell Cason and Connor Cason. Honoring Mr. Wiggins as pallbearers will be Matthew McGuire, Samuel Robison, Brandon Cason, Scott Silberbauer, Blue Childers and BI Childers. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Schuler, Aldren Reeves, Tommy Powell, Lee Hedges, David Boydstun and Wayne Tinsley.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

He will be in our hearts always. Heaven has a new Coach.
