Billy Ray Young, 84 of Converse, LA died peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2015 after a Courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Young was born June 1, 1931 in Converse, LA. He is preceded in death by parents Lane and Octavine Young; three brothers, Lloyd Young, Milton Young, and Harry Young He is survived by younger brother Floyd Young and his wife Doris of Van Buren, Arkansas, and his sister Mary Cates of Converse, LA. Funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA. The Reverend Charles Clark and Reverend Randy Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Converse, LA. Visitation will be from noon until time of service. Pallbearers will be Dr. Thomas Cates, Colton McDonald, Jeff McDonald, Bernard Farmer, Ryan McDonald, and Greg McCrocklin.
