Blanche Emily Headrick Herring

Funeral services honoring the life of Blanche Emily Moncrief Headrick Herring, 95, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. Interment followed the service at Longstreet Cemetery. Blanche was born on February 20, 1925 in Longstreet, Louisiana to John Wilburn Moncrief and Ethel McLendon Moncrief. She entered into eternal rest on August 21, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Blanche was employed with the United States Postal Service and retired after 20+ years. Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Ethel Moncrief; father of her children, H.C. Headrick; husband, Richard Herring; son, Ken Headrick; daughter, Barbara Dene "Denie" Headrick; brothers, J.W. Moncrief, Jr and George Moncrief; sister, Ora Moncrief. She is survived by her son, Rodney Headrick and wife Lori; daughters, Kathy Boyd and husband Don and Caroline Stevens and husband Rod; daughter-in-law, Linda Headrick Hamilton and husband Lance; grandchildren, Brent, Jordan, and Caleb Stevens, Rebecca, Katie, and Andy Boyd, Claire and Ben Headrick, and Kyle and Tara Headrick; numerous great-grandchildren. Honoring Blanche as pallbearers were her grandsons.
