Baton Rouge, LA - Bobbie Cochran was born August 28, 1927 in Monroe, LA to loving parents James Lloyd and Beulah Marie (Terrell) Conditt. The family later moved to Baton Rouge and Bobbie graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1944. She married T. H. Cochran, the couple had three children and made their home in Shreveport, LA. Bobbie joined her Creator in heaven after serving others for nearly 89 years.
Bobbie was an antique collector and an avid gardener. Her specialty was growing azaleas and she transformed every place she ever lived into a true garden paradise. She took great pleasure in watching birds and she had a lifelong love of animals. Bobbie worked at Centenary College for many years and was loved and respected by everyone. She formed wonderful friendships later in life with her neighbors at The Oaks of Louisiana. Bobbie had a kind heart, was fiercely independent and lived her whole life putting the needs of others before her own.
Bobbie is survived by her son, Thomas H. Cochran and wife, Janet; daughter, Gloria Schwartz and husband, Bill; and daughter, Terri Heitman and husband, Tim. Bobbie had nine grandchildren; Blaine, Donnie, Michael and Jordan Nauck, Spencer Heitman, Connor and Samantha Powers, and Erin and Elliot Cochran. She had two great grandchildren, Milo and Lucy Nauck.
Visitation will be Monday, March 14th at 12:30 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, Louisiana. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Donnie Nauck, Michael Nauck, Jordan Nauck, Connor Powers, Spencer Heitman, Elliot Cochran and Steve Powers.
