Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Bobbie Waller Lawrence, age 86, at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Arcadia. The interment will follow at Alabama Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday night from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bobbie was born November 15, 1928, in Lincoln Parish, to Sam and Arlena Tinsley Woodard. She entered peacefully into rest on Saturday, July 18, 2015, in her home surrounded by her family. Bobbie was a member of First Baptist Church in Arcadia. She was affectionately known to many as Mother, Ms. Bobbie, GrandBobbie and Mama Bobbie. She was known in the town of Arcadia for her passions in life which were her in home daycare and her yard. She loved the many children that she took care of through the years. Her yard was always well kept with beautiful blooming flowers, and anytime you wanted to visit Ms. Bobbie, you could find her on the porch.
She is preceded in death by her husbands Almon D. Waller and Thomas J. Lawrence, by daughter-in-law Glenda Waller and by great-granddaughter Mirayah Michelle Waller.
She is survived by her sons Waylon Waller and wife Carol, Randy Waller and wife Katie, Don Waller and wife Rochelle and George Waller and wife Gwendolyn, daughter Jane Ann Tripp and husband Rev. Bob, sisters Louise Hollis and Margaret James, brothers Dayton Woodard and wife Catherine and Marshall Woodard, grandchildren Jennifer Waller Neaville and husband Bruce, Scott Waller and wife Mandy, Brad Waller and wife Michelle, Amber Motrych and husband Jason, Matthew Waller and wife Kelly, Andrea York and husband Darren, Joanie Huckaby and husband Bill, Billy Tripp and wife Nicé, Ricky Tripp, Barry Tripp and wife Kathleen, Brandy Mays and husband Jeff, Donovan Wiggins, Jr., Christopher Holsen and Jon Jesmer and wife Andrea, by 25 great-grandchildren and by numerous other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Scott Waller, Matthew Waller, Jason Motrych, Hamp Spillers, David Robin, Jeff Mays, Ricky Woods and Billy Tripp. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Futch, Moe Letlow, Larry James, Rev. Bob Tripp, Darren York and Donovan Wiggins, Jr.
