Bobbie Jean Ruple

It is with great sadness that the family of Bobbie Jean Ruple announce her passing on March 8, 2025, in Homer, Louisiana at the age of 97. Bobbie was born to John Chris Ruple, SR, and Henrietta Stassen Ruple on January 2, 1928, in Haynesville, Louisiana.

Bobbie graduated from Homer High School. After graduating from high school, she attended business school. Bobbie was employed at Claiborne Electric Cooperative, Inc., and retired after 42 years of dedicated service.

Bobbie was a dedicated church member of Ruple Baptist Church her entire life until her age and health made it impossible to continue. She trusted in GOD’s plan for her life.

She is survived by one sister, Josephine Miller; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ruple; and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving sister and aunt.

Funeral services will be held for Bobbie, at Ruple Baptist Church, 4690 Hwy 534, Haynesville, LA, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Jerry Gill, officiating. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Ruple Community, LA. Visitation will be at the church from 1-2 p.m., prior to the service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Eugene Ruple, John Chris Ruple, JR, Tom Ruple, and Byron Bud Ruple; and sister, Maggie Louise Sanders.

Bobbie’s family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Scott Haynes, Claiborne Memorial Medical Center, Bristol Hospice, Claiborne Home Health and Claiborne Counsil on Aging along with their staffs for the care and compassion shown her.

Pallbearers will be Alex Ruple, Zach Ruple, Ryan Beckel, Jim Hankins, John Ruple, and James Ruple.

In lieu of flowers honoring Bobbie, her family suggests memorials be made to Ruple Baptist Church, PO Box 337, Homer, LA, 71040.
