He enjoyed all sports, playing basketball and baseball on teams with Beaird Industries and Calvary Baptist Church. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal's fan. He loved his church, where he served as deacon and volunteered as an usher and greeter. After he retired, as long as his health was good, he was especially proud to volunteer for the Family Life Center and ushering at the Night of Praise, hosted by Brother Price Harris every January. Because this was such a special time in his life, the family request any memorials be made in his honor to Price Harris Ministries, 438 Mars Dr, Shreveport, LA 71106.
