Bobby Ray Rawls

A graveside service honoring the life of Bobby Ray Rawls, 92, will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Social Springs Cemetery in Ringgold, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Bobby was born on December 20, 1929 in Coushatta, Red River Parish, Louisiana to Bensen and Lucille Rawls and passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Shreveport.

Bobby was married on October 3, 1952 to the love of his life, Tru Methvin and they celebrated a wonderful 60 years of marriage. He was an avid pool player and belonged to many leagues. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes. He retired from AEP Swepco. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and served in the Army and was a Korean War veteran.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife; grandson, Casey; brothers, Houston, Eloy and Dickie Rawls; sister, Immogene “Honey” Morgan and numerous in-laws. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Steve (Priscilla), Wayne (Jeannie) and Brian (Erika) Rawls; daughters, Renette Belcher and Rhonda (Sean) Fulgham; grandchildren, Chris Rawls, Sharye Belcher, Kylee Rawls, Kelsey Rachal, Sean-Michael Fulgham, Austin Fulgham, Danny Allen, Racheal Squire, Haley Wise and Shelby Hartley, McKenzie and Madison Allen; great-great grandson, Lane; sister, Bonnie “Bunkie” Hassell; brother-in-law, George Methvin (Angie).

Honoring Bobby as pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.
