Keithville, LA - Services celebrating the life of Bobby W. "Pop Pop" Saddler, 73, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. McKee Williams. Interment will follow in Providence Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Keithville, LA. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the funeral home. Bobby was born December 15, 1941 in Pearsall, TX and went to be with the Lord March 18, 2015 at Grace Home. Pop Pop was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather. Bobby had many wonderful relationships through his family, work, community, rodeo, grandson's baseball and church life. All will miss his wisdom, stories, and wit. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was a 1960 graduate of Carthage High School. He spent many years working for Texas Eastern. He then worked as a self-employed contractor. His career was spent as a pipeline welder and inspector. Bobby was a faithful member of the First Southern Methodist Church in Stonewall, LA. Bobby was preceded in death by his mother and father, Emory and Amy Ross; and brother, Roger D. Sadler. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, "Mellie" Hall Saddler; sons, John Fred Saddler, Andrew Glasow, and Frank Haltom; daughter, Missy Saddler Williams; grandchildren, Christopher Ross Noble and Tripp Hall Williams. He is also survived by his extended family from Carthage, TX, sister-in-law, Sandra Sadler; niece, Debra Anderson and Joey; nephews, Farrell (Bubba) Sadler and Lesley, Steven (Scooter) Sadler and Lacy; great nieces, Sarah Anderson, Casey Price and Brad, Kendall Sadler; great nephew, Sam Anderson; great-great nieces, Alayna and Sadie Jo Price. Pallbearers will be Gregg Sellers, Frank Haltom, Johnny Bagley, Steve Smith, Floyd Patton, and Curtis Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Dickson, Leon Boykins, Jerry Burkett, Gary Linzy, J.T. Goldsby, and James Cockerham. In lieu of flowers, Bobby's family suggests that memorials may be made to First Southern Methodist Church of Stonewall, P.O. Box 322 Stonewall, LA 71078 or Grace Home, 1035 Margaret Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.
