Bobby Lloyd Trimble passed away Monday, February, 29 in Oil City, Louisiana. He was born in Haynesville, Louisiana on October 10, 1932, to Jonas Henry and Verdilee Trimble. Bobby grew up in Rodessa, Louisiana, and attended both Rodessa High School and Ida High School. He was a football and track star at Rodessa, earning many medals in competitions. He also was ordained as a minister at First Baptist Church in Rodessa.
Bobby married Evelyn Earl Addie December 3, 1951 and settled in Oil City, Louisiana, where they raised their two children. He worked in the oil field as did his father and father-in-law before beginning a career in insurance with Fireside Insurance and Kilpatrick Insurance. He later headed up the Louisiana Region for Commonwealth Insurance before his health made it necessary for him to change careers so he used his craftsman skills to make a living.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Terry and Henrietta Holt and son, Jeffrey Lee Trimble. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Evelyn Trimble; daughter Pamela Trimble Flair and her husband Jon; four grandchildren, Matthew Joseph Trimble; Morgan Leigh Ann Trimble, Sean Charles Harding Flair and Amye Jacquelyn Ann Flair; Great Grandson Jeffrey Wyatt Trimble, and Theresa Trimble Moore, widow of his son, and her husband, Keith Moore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm Monday, March 7, 2016 at Smyrna Cemetery near Atlanta, Texas. Pallbearers will be Sean, Matthew, Larry Thompson, Joe Thompson, Mike Terry and Jon Flair.
