Bonnie Ann Cummings

Funeral services for Bonnie Ann Cummings, 72, will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Biddle.

Bonnie was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 22, 1949 to G.W. Cummings, Sr. and Maebelle Crofford Cummings and passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 in Shreveport.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Grady Cummings, Jr. and Lynda Cummings Lawrence. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Jimmy Cummings, Sr., Nelda Cummings Linahan, Robert Cummings and Christy Cummings Lincoln. She had 16 nieces and nephews: Debbie Elwell, Lisa Knapp, Jimmy Cummings, Jr., Carolyn Dixon, David Linahan, Gale Cambron, Pam Schmick, Dale Fischer, Michael Lawrence, Holly Donaldson, Dustin Lincoln, Corey Jayro, Clay Cummings, Delena Parks, Crandel Cummings and Troy Cummings; 28 great-nieces and nephews; and 18 great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was a very strong-willed lady who carried more than her share early in her life for her family. She wanted to be independent. She worked as a housekeeper and for several hospitals over the years. Her last job was with Calvary Baptist Church as a cafeteria worker.

She loved her family and all her nieces and nephews immensely. They were her heart and soul. She will be greatly missed by everyone that had the good fortune to have known Bonnie.

The family would like to express special thanks to Garden Park Nursing Home and Heritage Manor South Nursing Home for the excellent care Bonnie received. Also, thanks to Life Pathways Hospice, Kaitlen, Stacy and staff, for the wonderful care and compassion Bonnie received under their care.
