A graveside services was held for Ms. Brenda Janice Mitchell, age 79, at Arlington Cemetery, in Homer, LA, on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., with Chaplain Paul Ford, officiating. Visitation was at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., prior to the service.

Brenda was born on July 16, 1944, in Minden.  LA, to Hillie T. and Jewell Sanders Mitchell. She entered into rest on March 11, 2024, in Ruston, LA. Brenda was a seamstress for Delta Interior who loved to knit and crochet in her spare time. She also enjoyed working as a Travel Agent. Brenda was a member at First Baptist Church where she served her Lord. She enjoyed doing mission projects with the WMU. Brenda spent the latter days of her years at Claiborne Rehabilitation among friends.  

She is preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers honoring Brenda, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Homer, LA.
