Brenda Whitfield

Brenda Whitfield was born February 6, 1947, and entered into heaven June 30, 2023. She graduated Minden High School in 1965, and shortly after met the love of her life Timothy Whitfield. They married on January 7, 1966. She took on the role of devoted wife, and it wasn't long before she was promoted to the title of mother. Together Tim and Brenda raised four beautiful children. Brenda spent the rest of her life as the proud matriarch of her family. Brenda had a fiery spirit that attracted all sorts of people to her. She had many great friends. Most would tell you that they loved Brenda because you always knew exactly what she was thinking. She never held back. She also had a great since of humor, that sometimes caught you off guard. Brenda was a force to be reckoned with, and had a fierce heart, a trait that she passed onto many generations. She also had a big heart. Just as everything else in her life, she loved fiercely. Brenda Whitfield was truly a once in a lifetime soul, and a great many people will feel her absence.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents: Billy and Patricia Culpepper, and her beloved husband Timothy Whitfield. She is survived by her siblings: Ronnie Edwards, Christine Elwess, Terry Culpepper and wife Joy, Phillip Culpepper, and wife Debbie. She is also survived by her children: Timothy Whitfield Jr., Sheri Salter, Tonya Edwards and husband Channon, and Stephen Whitfield. Brenda also leaves behind seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many more family and friends.

The family will receive visitors at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden, La on Wednesday July 5th starting at 1 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, La at 2 p.m, and will be officiated by Pastor Tracy Winget.
