SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Bryan L. "Cowboy" Edwards, 54, will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive. Officiating will be Dr. Bruce Ewing. Interment will be held in Forest Park West. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at the funeral home.

Bryan was born on August 17, 1959 in Texarkana, TX and passed away on July 12, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. He went to college on a Rodeo Scholarship and earned a masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Psychology. He then worked at AEP SWEPCO for 29 years before his health forced his retirement. Bryan rodeoed from age 14 to age 37 up to the PRCA Finals. He met the love of his life, Martha Edwards in 1991, married in 1994 and passed away at his home with his wife and family by his side. He was a beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, and friend. His career was his passion, aside from hunting, fishing, rodeo, family, friends, and all were secondary to his love for God. He was always the one to play pranks and tell jokes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Edwards. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Martha Edwards; mom, Joan Edwards; sons, Drew Edwards, Phillip Adams, and wife Suzanne; daughters, Christy Grant and husband, Jason, Tambria Ladatto and husband, Doug, and his loyal companion, Cassie Girl; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alyso Jo, Alexa, Victoria, Valerie, and Colton; siblings, Mark Edwards and wife, Cindy, Kathy Edwards, Lesa Admire and husband, Randle.

Pallbearers will be Rick Cain, Steve Phillips, Tommy Pilkerton, Ronnie Clinton, Paul Bedgood, and Maurice Manshack.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the nursing staff at Willis Knighton North, Shreveport/Bossier Hospice, and hospice nurse, Ms. Debbie, for her unwavering dedication.
