Shreveport, LA - Bryan Earl Gregory, 55, passed away in Shreveport on Saturday, May 2, 2015 after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 10, 1959 in Lubbock, Texas to Otho Braxton Gregory of Pleasant Hill, La and Nina Hall Gregory of Jayton, Texas. Anyone who knew him will remember him as a kind and gentle man, but who had many hardships in life. While working in Sierra Leone, he founded the African Christian Relief organization to assist people in the Sierra Leone region. He had many friends in Africa and loved working with them.
Survivors include his sister, Paula Gregory Simmons and husband David, nephews Christopher, Shaun, Brandon; step-nephew Gregory and step-niece Jennifer, uncle Rick Hall and cousins Phyllis and William Campbell, Debra and Jerry Callens, Pam and Jimmy Rawls, Tammy Hall Tames, Marvin Hall, Jr., Romey Hall, and Kathy and Donnie Sistrunk. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Phillip Braxton Gregory, aunt Betty Gregory Terrell, uncle Marvin Hall, and cousin Greg Imhoff.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 from 5-7p.m. at Rose-Neath Southside, Shreveport, La. Services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, with burial following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, LA. Officiating will be Reverend Trey McQuire
Honorary pallbearers are Gary Stautzenberger, Brian Miller, Ken Jacobs, and Richard Lachapelle.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at NurseCare of Shreveport, and Regional Hospice, and to University Health and Willis Knighton Medical Center. A special "Thank You" to Phyllis and Kathy, who are like sisters to us.
