SHREVEPORT, LA - Bryan Matthew Markaverich died on December 25, 2014, as a result of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. The family will receive friends immediately afterward in the Parish Hall.
Bryan was born November 9, 1952, to Dorothy and Adam Markaverich. He attended Jesuit High School and then Captain Shreve and graduated in 1970. He attended LSU-Shreveport. Bryan was a dental technician with his father at Brymar Dental Laboratory until his father's death at which time Bryan managed the practice solely.
Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Adam Markaverich. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Markaverich of Shreveport, LA; children, Shea Markaverich of New Orleans, LA, and Aaron Markaverich of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Lawrence Markaverich and wife, Cindy, of Broken Arrow, OK, and John Markaverich and wife, Vikki, of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Mary O'Neal and husband, Dr. Barron O'Neal, of Shreveport, LA, and Cecilia Pritchard and husband, Ric, of Marietta, GA; and grandson, Kaden Markaverich of Shreveport, LA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the ALS Association, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005.
