Carla Rochelle Pierce, born on July 11, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on January 7, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana of an unsuspected heart attack. Carla, affectionately known as Rochelle, was a caring mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Simone Snell, and three grandchildren, Demarsha Williams, Amajay Abdi Snell Walker, and Amillia Pearl Walker.
Carla was a proud Certified Nursing Assistant, always aspiring to help others and ensure their well-being. Her compassion extended beyond her profession, as she deeply cared for family and friends, often hosting lively gatherings filled with music, barbecue, and laughter. She had a passion for reading, writing, and cooking, often dreaming of penning children’s books in her spare time.
Carla found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was enjoying vanilla ice cream, spending time by the water, or cheering on her grandson at football games. She was a devoted Christian who loved to pray and found strength in her faith, living by the motto, “God Has The Final Answer.”
Though her parents have passed, Carla leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and joy that touched everyone around her. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her love for music—especially artists like Anita Baker, Luther Vandross, and Chaka Khan—and her unwavering belief in the power of prayer. Carla loved the sun, the beauty of Hawaii and Jamaica, and the happiness of being surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Some of Carla's favorite hobbies were reading, writing, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of her kids. She also was a fan of water activities such as swimming in pools and lakes. Some of Carla's favorite foods were bbq, fresh salads, potato salad and chips and dip. She also enjoyed candy and peppermints.
Carla wanted more than anything in her younger years to become a nurse. She enjoyed helping others and was concerned about their safety, health, and well being. Before Carla died she had two kids, a boy named Deon Pierce, and a girl named Simone Snell. Her son is deceased but her daughter is currently still living. Carla loved poetry and writing books. She also loved kids. From her love of children Carla wanted to write children books in her spare time. Carla also has three grandkids that she left behind and their names are Demarsha Williams, Amajay Abdi Snell Walker, And Amillia Pearl Walker.
Some of Carla's favorite things that she loved more than anything to hang out with family and friends, throw house parties, listen to music, and bbq. She loved the sun, hanging outside, and going shopping. Carla also enjoyed babysitting her grandkids and watching her grandson, Demarsha, Play Football. Carla Loved to pray and read the Bible, enjoyed going to church, and was a strong believer in God. Carla enjoyed movies about comedy but in her spare time loved Gospel movies .
