Carmen Santos Sanchez Watson

Services will be held for Mrs. Carmen Watson, 81 of Zwolle, Louisiana on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 9891 Texas Highway, Many, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Aimwell Church Cemetery, 1892 Highway 1215, Zwolle, Louisiana. A visitation for Mrs. Carmen will begin on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. and will conclude at 8:00 p.m.; it will also be held at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Many Chapel.

Carmen Santos Sanchez Watson was born April 3, 1942 in Midland, Texas to Carmen and Wilfred Yanez, Sr. and passed away on May, 11 2023 in Many, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by parents, husband of 53 years Robert "Bob" Watson, Sr. (married September 1964), her grandson, PFC Jason Ryan Watson; sister Maria Ana Garcia, brothers Wilfred Yanez, Jr., John V. Yanez, and Benedict D. Yanez.

She is survived by her children Robert "Bobby" Watson, Jr. (wife Tonya), Melton L. Watson (wife Janie), Rita A. Henderson (husband John) and Matthew L. Watson (wife Racheal), sisters, Maria Narcisa Martin, Dr. Rita Horton, Theresa Morgan and brother William Michael Yanez. Nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carmen was a feisty bilingual woman that never met a stranger. She loved to cook, to sew, and to crochet, however she is best known for selling Avon and performing community service for migrant workers in the area. She loved her family, children, grandchildren and friends very much and she will be deeply missed by all.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Nick Watson, Aaron Henderson, Vaughn Dunning, Bobby Whittington, Hunter Atkins, and Silas Watson.
