Carol Adkins

Funeral services will be held for Carol B. Adkins, age 84, at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Interment will follow at Old Athens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Carol was born October 8, 1931 in Ensley, Alabama to Howard and Nellie Vinson. She entered into rest on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Arcadia, LA. Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who could grow a tiny break off of a plant into a beautiful flower, and was a wonderful cook. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kernie H. Adkins, and sisters Willowdene Dees and Anne English. She is survived by her children, Sue Driskill and husband Eddy, Howard (Huck) Adkins and wife Shelley and Debbie Butler and husband Dexter, brother Richard "Dickie" Jones, by grandchildren, Lee Driskill and wife Tammi, Megan Leone and husband Joe, Christopher Adkins and Dexter Butler II and wife Jessica, by great-grandchildren, Adrien and Addison Driskill, Baylor and Avery Leone, Ashlyn and Erilyn Adkins and Eli Butler. Pallbearers will be Dexter Butler II, Jerry Jones, Adrien Driskill, Johnny Adkins, Dawson Lee Driskill, Joe Leone and Everette English.
