Carol Ann McDearmont Dodson

Funeral services for Carol Ann McDearmont Dodson, 73, will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Blanchard Memorial Cemetery, N. Jodie St., in Blanchard, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the services will be Rev. Andrew Brewster.

Carol was born on March 20, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Donald Baldwin McDearmont and Helen Elizabeth Knapp McDearmont and passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024, in Shreveport.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Thomas Lavon Dodson. Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Donald McDearmont and wife, Annie; sisters, Helen Clark and Kathleen Roohi and husband, Mohsen; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Carol loved everybody, and everybody loved her. Anyone that had the pleasure of getting to know Carol, is blessed. She was a very special person and will be terribly missed by her family and friends.

Honoring Carol as pallbearers will be Noah Gordy, Chris Gordy, Phillip Hicks, and Jeff Clark. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Nicholas Gordy.
