Harmon, LA Celebration of life and going home service for Carol Bennett English will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Coushatta Chapel at 10:00 AM with Reverend Calvin Phelps officiating. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery in Henderson, TX. Visitation will be held Monday, October 19, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Carol was born June 28, 1936, in Henderson, TX to Linville and Aileen Bennett and went home to be with the Lord and Savior on October 17, 2015, at 4:50 PM in Shreveport, LA. Carol was a retired United States Postmaster of Harmon, LA after 34 years of service. She loved traveling, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She was active in her community and it was a joke that she was known as the mayor of Harmon. Carol was loved by so many and would always leave a smile on your face. Preceding her in death were husband, E. W. "Dink" English and parents, Linville and Aileen Bennett. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Randal Casey English of Harmon, LA and Billy English of Arizona; daughters, Belinda English Crow and husband, Robert of Harmon, LA and Terry English Durham of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Brandi Blount of Colorado Springs, CO, Carrie Blount of Shreveport, LA, Dylan Noonan of Georgia, Kelli Crow Bufkin and husband, Justin of Wallace, LA, and Andrew Durham and wife, Val of Colorado Springs, CO; siblings, George W. Bennett and wife, Jessie of Henderson, TX; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Crow, Justin Bufkin, Dr.Wyche Coleman, Jr., Tommy Glen Jones, William Waltman, and James Humphreys. Texas pallbearers will be Randal Casey English, Robert Crow, Justin Bufkin, Marcus Appleton, Ross Neill and Matt Appleton. The family would like to express a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Christus Coushatta Healthcare, Christus Highland, Garden Park, and Christus Hospice for their care.
